Allahabad Museum is organising one month long Exhibition in Terracotta art " Playing With Toys" under the curation of Mr. Rajesh Purohit . Playing with toys has been there since time immemorial as has been evident from the archaeological findings from the excavations across the world and Indian is not an exception to that.Very intelligently the ancient Indian parents engaged their children with toys while busy with their domestic works or agriculture or household responsibilities.They specially thought about the upbringing of a child in a busy world.Therefore they discovered the utility of toys which will not only engage their children but also while growing them up will allow them learning about the world around us.Younger children use toys to discover their identity, help their bodies grow strong, learn cause and effect, explore relationships, and practice skills they will need as adults.
