Detailed Description | Six headed and twelve hand Kartikeya has been beautifully carved in ivory. He is seating on a peacock with two goddesses (matrikas) in alingan mudra. The Skand and the female goddess are wearing high crown and bead garlands. The Skand is shown with all of his aayudh and his right hand is made in abhay-mudra. The feathers of peacock have been carved beautifully. A snake has been shown captured by the left claw of the peacock lying on the surface. |
