Detailed Description Standing image of four handed, heavily armed Mahishasuramardini on a slab (basalt). The furious goddess is depicted as killing a buffalo (Mahisha). Her right foot is resting on the ground and left foot on the back of the mahisha. She is holding Ayuda (Weapons) in her hands (clockwise) (i) Trisula (Trident) striking on the back of the animal in the lower right hand. (ii) a Sword in the upper right hand (iii) a Shield in the upper left hand. (iv) The demon mahisha's hair in the lower left hand. The Buffalo is facing left. The Simha (lion) Vahana of the goddess is attacking the Buffalo is lying on the ground.
