Brief Description It is a wooden, standing effigy of a woman. The hair is knotted on the top of the head, ears are provided with dumble- shaped wooden ear studs. The figure has slender neck and arms. Spiral leg ornaments, made of brass, are worn around the legs, are characteristic feature of the effigy. The effigy is standing on a circular wooden pedestal. The Shan are Tai speakers, related to the Ahom of Assam in the west, as well as to the numerous Tai of China in the north and those of Laos and Thailand in the east.
