Detailed Description It is an intricately woven, double strapped, almost rectangular knapsack made of cane, tied to a bamboo base. This is a multi purpose bag or 'Nara', generally used by the tribals on excursions, hunting expeditions, etc. for keeping small articles of utility. It is an indispensable item, carried on the back with help of strings. A half cape, made of black fibres of a palm tree, giving the appearance of bear- skin, is often worn over the shoulders as a cloak to cover the haversack for protection from rain etc.
Brief Description This is a knapsack made of bamboo and cane, belonging to the Apatani tribe of Arunachal Pradesh.
