Detailed Description Crocodile shaped ear-ring(makara kundala) as described under accession number 2 with which it forms a pair . The delicate wire of the filigree work besides being slightly displaced as broken and hangs out of place from filigree work in a detached form. There are two small depressions indicative of the eyes in which originally some precious or semi-precious stones were inlayed. It is a stylized makara-kundala type of gold ear-ornamnts with twisted ends, possible for threading; the surface is minutely decorated with filigree or wire work; granulation in the centre looks likea knot line; the combination of two evolved techniques made it possible to bring out the effect of leaf-design on the arched body of the kundala; possibly it was suspended by means of a chain or thread around the ear- lobes. From Sector N III/Site 109 (Rubble structures), Ikshvaku level.
Brief Description Crocodile shaped ear ring described as above (Acc. No. 2) and forms a pair with it. The wire of the filigree work besides being slightly displaced was broken in the enclosed part. Remarks: The displaced wire is detached the filigree work.
