Detailed Description Copper relic casket simulating the form of a stupa. It is in two parts. The lower drum(Vidika) or receptacle is firmly fixed to the hollow drum(vedika) of the terracotta casket probably such an arrangement was made to ensure safety of the relics to avoid crushing of the thinner and delicate inner caskets of noble metals. The upper separable unit has a hemispherical dome (anda)with a plain cubical harmika resembling a rail and a pointed coping member looking like the shaft of the chhatra. The unit is thicker in section, heavy and has eroded due to impurities of the metal.
