Detailed Description Cornice beam depicting the five key events in the life of Buddha in a slightly expanded version in seven rectangular frames and alternated by well- carved mithunas. From right to left are depicted a mithuna, birth of Siddhartha, mithuna presenting of a baby before Asita and casting of horoscope and presenting before Sakya tutelary deity (Yaksha), mithuna, Siddhartha contemplating on the woes of life on the night before renunciation (Siddhartha surrounded by sleeping musicians and attendants), mithuna, Mahabhimishamana, mithuna, Mara's assault and retreatment with folded hands; mithuna; Firrst sermon- Buddha seated with devotees in the background of Dharmachakra, mithuna; Buddha walking in the streets of Kapilavastu and approaching the apartment of Yasodhara and Mithuna.
