Lime Stone - Dome-slab depicts (Top to bottom):
1.seated Buddha in abhaya-mudra surrounded by devotees
2. Mara's assault
3. Sujata offering Payasa (milk-rice) to the Buddha. Mended.
Detailed Description
Dome slab of a stupa with three sculptured panels narrating
the events of Buddha's life. The upper panel shows Buddha
seated with right hand in abhaya-mudra preaching the law of
the world to the devotees surrounding him. The middle panel
depicts Mara's futile assault and Buddha emerging victorious.
The bottom panel has the carving of the pious lady Sujata
offering payasa (milk rise) to Buddha seated in meditation
under the Bodhi tree at Uruvela. Mended.
