Inscription The two-lined Brahmi inscription is deeply engraved in the characteristic nail headed Brahmi of Ikshvaku period on the base of the lotus pedestal of the image. It records the installation of the image by a lady name not clear who was wife of a certain Kodabudhim might be a Nagarika(?) of Vijayapuri.

Detailed Description The torso of the medium sized Buddha image in full round was retrived from excavations at Site No.9 in two fragments . The deeply incised pair of lines of the garments (Sanghati) and modeling of the image are noteworthy features. The two- lined Brahmi inscription is deeply engraved in the characteristic nail headed Brahmi of Ikshvaku period on the base of the lotus pedestal of the image. It records the installation of the image by a lady name not clear who was wife of a certain Kodabudhim might be a Nagarika(?) of Vijayapuri.
