Detailed Description Still Life, Chardin's huge oil painting in the museum shows, dead game laid helter skelter in the kitchen. A boy seated at the window sill takes a happy look at the booty. The hunted animals and birds lie un-assorted mingling with the pots and pans, bowls and plates. the over crowded room is further loaded by hunting implements - bugle, horn, ropes and so on. The heaviness, besides looking natural, is relieved by the beautiful effects of light rendered on the objects and their studied arrangements.
