Detailed Description Field Marshal Sir George Pollock (1786-1872) was a British Army officer who fought in the Second Anglo-Maratha War, the Anglo- Nepalese War, the First Anglo-Burmese War, and - most valiantly - in the First Anglo-Afghan War. In 1844 the Pollock Medal was created to commemorate Pollock's military achievements
