Detailed Description Sword attributed to Hyder Ali (1722-82), ruler of Mysore princely state and military commander who played an important part in the wars in southern India in the mid-18th century. Formerly exhibited in the Royal United Service Museum, Whitehall, London. Highly decorative gold hilt & gold cover. Small colourful stones on hilt. Two lion heads and rings on the cover. Many animals like deer, lion etc and floral motif on the cover.
