Brief Description
Sheikh Abdulla, the then Chief Minister of Kashmir, invited Dr. Ambedkar to Kashmir to recuperate in 1949. Officers and soldiers of the Mahar Regiment, which were stationed in Kashmir, met Dr. Ambedkar on 24 September. A photograph from that occasion.
