Brief Description

A set of three copper plates of the Paramara King Vakpati Munja, One of these plates has an inscription of the Rashtrakuta on the other side. This is interesting as it reflects the conflict between the Rashtrakuta Kingdom of the Deccan and the Paramara rulers of Malwa in the later half of the tenth century A.D.. The object of the donation was to establish a satha or charitable feeding house where a thousand Brahmanas were to be fed.

The same plate has an incised human figure in a dancing pose with a snake. It records a grant of a village to 26 Brahmanas.
