Brief Description
It is a long waist band, made of twelve rows of shell beads attached to wooden pieces. There are four elongated wooden pieces. Two pieces are attached to the two ends and two pieces are placed in the middle part of the band. Between these two pieces twelve rows, each row consisting of three deep blue glass beads are present.
Garos are mainly inhabited in foothills of Garo hills of Assam and in hill regions of Meghalaya. They speak a Tibeto-Burman language.
