Brief Description

The seated image of the Buddha consecrated in the year 64 of Maharaja Trikamal hailing from Bodhgaya in Bihar is a specimen of the Mathura style representing a blend of Kushana and Gupta period characteristics.The nose is defaced and the areas are broken off, as also the nimbus behind the head. An inscription occurs on the front of the flat slab on which the figure is seated.
