Brief Description

This painting represents, Madonna and child drawn in a mirror frame. Madonna is also wearing red full-sleeves robe with golden veil(ordni). She is sitting with a baby on her lap and looks very motherly and gracefully towards the child.

The Jesuit mission to the Mughal courts resulted in the synthesis of two diverse cultures. The fusion profoundly influenced the Mughal Tasbir-khana and constituted one of the most flourishing of artistic exchange.
