Guru Granth Sahib is religious book of the Sikhs. The Guru Granth Sahib was first compiled by the fifth Guru Arjan Dev in 1604 C.E. in the city of Amritsar. This is one of the folios of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, it is a visual representation of the text written in the Guru Granth Sahib.

The painting represents the Universe, divided into twelve petals of a lotus representing twelve zodiac divisions. Ten of these petals are illustrated with the Ten Sikh Guru's and the other two are their origin. The central circle of the lotus has Sodhi Bhan Singh, the patron, who got this manuscript prepared and he can be see worshipping Mahakala and Mahakali.
