Brief Description

Silver tetradrachm of Indo-Greek king Menander -I. On obverse Greek legend BASILEOS SOTEROS MENANDROU around the bare headed bust of the king. On reverse Athena Alkidemos standing left, holding horizontal shield in out stretched left arm, hurling thunder bolt with right hand.

 Kharoshti legend MAHARAJA TRATARASA MENANDRASA is also there on reverse side.
