Brief Description

This Pahari painting is visual depiction of Raga Achad (an Indian Musical mode), which is considered as the son of Sri Raga. Raga Achad is shows as Nayak (hero) seated on a bed under a pavilion and is holding the arm of Nayika (heroine), who is standing near the bed. Her face is turned towards the nayak. On the bed, a cushion can be seen kept in one corner. The whole scene is set against a green background with a narrow blue sky.

Nayak and nayika are engaged in conversation and adorned with jewellery made with pearls. The painting has inscription on the border.
