Brief Description

Two armed image of Avalokitesvara seated on double lotus pedestal mounted on a base ornamented with beaded rim. The deity is seated with his left leg tucked up while the right leg is pendant and holds a stalk of lotus in his left hand. Another stalk of lotus is blooming on the other side. His other hand is resting on the knee in boon conferring attitude. The deity wears crown, necklace, armlets, bracelets, yajnopavita and a dhoti secured at waist by a girdle. An inscription at the back of pedestal.
