This is an oil-container made out of camel hide used in the
western desert area of Rajasthan.
Detailed Description
This is an oil-container made out of camel leather and is
locally referred to as kuria. The surface is painted with
geometric patterns with yellow and orange colour. The lid is
carved in wood.
This object with utilitarian aspect attached to it is a
perfect example of how people used the locally available
material for fulfilling their daily or basic requirements.
