Brief Description
The painting presents complete family of Shiva and Parvati. Lord Shiva is seated on a lotus over a 'chauki' (stool/pedestal). Four headed Shiva's upper right hand is in abhaya mudra, the lower right hand is around the shoulder of Ganesha while upper left hand is around the neck of Parvati. The crowned Ganesha painted in red colour has four arms. He is seated in Persian fashion and elaborated with ornaments and yellow 'dhoti' (lower body garment). In the upper right hand he holds ankusha, in lower right hand an akshamala (rosary) while in the upper left hand a tray full of modakas and a lotus in his lower left hand. Karttikeya is seen seated in the lap of Parvati. He has six headed and are the heads. Shiva and Parvati are looking at each other. They are seated against blue background.
