Bikas Bhattacharjee's work have a theatrical, dramatic quality in them considering the play of light, the characters sketched in the set up of a stage like backgrounds.  His ability to create a very realistic background with his mastery to execute light with the help color enhances the drama in his work,  His use of art techniques like that of Post Renaissance oil paintings create the illusion of reality in his work making them enigmatic visuals.
