Stephen Sacklarian was an Armenian American artist who practiced both painter and sculpture. His works are considered to be a blend of modern art styles of Abstract expressionism and Cubism.  Earlier in his creative process his works were realistic but but he turned towards to abstraction soon.  His paintings are typically filled with biomorphic forms in the foreground in front of angular room like backgrounds or dark colour fields.  The forms residing in the room like spaces in his paintings are abstraction of human and animal forms, limbs, faces, etc.  The subconscious mind is a dominant thread in Sacklarianâ??s works which looks dream like.
