Balkrishna Vaidya a well known bill board painter of twentieth century India. The hand- painted bill boards flourished to heighten film industries in mainly Mumbai and Chennai. A rapid growth in portraying iconic actors of Bollywood films in 70s and 80s was to leave an ingrained impression to the onlooker. The NGMA, Mumbai has a collection of eleven artworks by Balkrishna Vaidya that formed colossus of hand- painted billboards to Indian cinema.
