Brief Description
Kulkarni investigated in illustration as a cartoonist worked with
newspapers and journals. He was member of Bombay Group and involved
himself in discussion and exhibited along artists in town. His
distorted forms with flashes of transparent colours are prominent in
Holi. He experimented in compositions and colours, linear lines boldly
emerged from the patches of green and reds.
Folk animated forms of animal, birds and ornate patterns can decipher a meaning as running
narrative through the figures. Signed at the lower right 'Dizi' by the
artist.
