It contains a beautifully carved seated Buddha with his right hand raised in the Pravachana-mudra: (The posture of preaching) at the centre, The main figure is surrounded by devotees including Sakra(Indra), gandharva Chitrasena and other gods. The scene may present Buddha as preaching the abhidhamma to the divinities at the Trayastrimsa heaven.
The whole scene is composed within a large medallion with a lotus petal border set amidst the backdrop of a railing. Much of the top left side of the panel is broken and missing.
