Detailed Description
Dome-slab of a stupa narrating the events in Buddha's life in three panels. The Upper register narrates the birth of Siddhartha. Mayadevi delivering the child in the Lumbini garden. Four Maha-Brahmas are receiving the child on a golden net. Maya stands against the Sala tree in attractive posture. Gautama is represented as a purna-kalasa to the right side of Maya. A lady holding a chhatra (umbralla) appears above as a mark of sovereignty (Chakravartin).
