Brief Description
Lime Stone - Dome slab depicts - top to bottom: Triratnas,
running lions, Sakra's visit to the Buddha, Apalala Damana
being Vanquished by Vajrapani. Mended.
Detailed Description
Well preserved ornate dome-slab of a stupa. From top to
bottom are depicted a row of triratnas, running lions moving
towards right and three narrative panels. The upper panel
depicts the scene in which Buddha is granting an audience to
Sakra(Indra).
The middle panel shows Buddha preaching (with
raised right hand) dharma, being seated on a high throne and
Sakra bidding him adieu. The lower panel registers the
episode of Apalala damana (Vajrapani vanquishing Apalala).
