Brief Description

His visit to India in 1911 was an epoch-making event.He had come a few years earlier as Prince of Wales and laid the foundation stone of the Victoria Memorial Hall on January 6, 1906.

Full-length life-size standing figure.Bare-headed, hair neatly dressed, the parting line on the left side.Trimmed beard and moustache.In Court robes consisting of mantle, stiff-collared jacket with full sleeves, frilled cuffs, cravat, buckled waist belt, pleated, puffed and tasselled kilt, knee breeched, full stockings, lettered garters and shoes.Rosettes on shoes and garters.The left hand rests on the hilt of the sword, while the right hand is on the hip.Left foot slightly advanced, looking directly at the spectator.
