Brief Description
Statesman and historian.Thomas Babington Macaulay became a member of the India Board in London(1832), Secretary of the same (1833) and the Law member of the government- General's Council (1834-38). His codification of Indian law and the part he played in the introduction of Western education are the best known features of his Indian career.
